Welcome to our website for the History of Munhall, PA. Munhall was incorporated as a borough in 1901 and originally was in Mifflin Township, Allegheny County, PA. The history of our borough is a story of its people and its industries.
Postcard: Clarence Folk CollectionThis website is a joint effort by the members of the Mifflin Township Historical Society. It is not meant to be a work of a scholarly content but a source of known histories put together through the efforts of its members.
It is advisable to visit the Homestead history site also for further study with regard to the proper perspective of the history of both, and what events at the original Carnegie Steel Company’s Homestead Works led to Munhall becoming an independent community and also heirs to the Carnegie Steel Land Company’s vested property in this area, and on which the Carnegie Steel Company Homestead Works sat.
We hope that you will visit us often because we will be updating the site with information as soon as we prepare it for presentation. If you should have any documents or old photographs we would like to post them here. To see what was added since your last visit CLICK HERE.
