September Monthly Meeting

Join us for our regular monthly membership meeting. Our guest speaker this month will be Edward Falvo who will be presenting “Songs of the Great War.” This presentation focuses on the music and songs of World War I from 1914 to 1918.

Ed Falvo is from the Elizabeth Township Historical Society and play vintage records on an old phonograph that will include some singalongs with the audience. He will also have some World War I memorabilia and posters on display.

Ed studied history at Duquesne University and attained a Bachelor’s Degree with a major in History, & a minor in Classical Civilizations. He has a Master’s Degree in Archival, Museum & Editing Studies. After graduate school, Ed traveled across the country with the Bicentennial re-enactment of the Lewis & Clark Expedition, from 2003-2006. Ed enjoys bringing our history alive by speaking to community groups and local historical societies.
